for niverville council

Practical leadership. Smart growth. Strong community.

Why I’m Running

Niverville is growing quickly, and with that growth comes both opportunity and responsibility.

I’m running for Council because I want to help make sure our infrastructure, services and long-term planning keep pace with the community we’re becoming. Growth is a good thing, but we need to plan for it, not simply react to it.

I want to see Niverville continue attracting businesses, services and investment, while remaining a strong community for families to live, work and raise their kids.

Most importantly, I believe residents deserve a Council that listens, communicates clearly and follows through.

I’m running to bring practical experience, a fresh perspective and a results-focused approach to Council and help Niverville make the most of the opportunities ahead.

My Priorities

A practical approach to Niverville's next chapter.

01 — PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS & INFRASTRUCTURE

Bring a problem-solving approach to roads, sewer, wastewater and other infrastructure, looking at different solutions while making the most of available budgets.

03 — INNOVATION & BETTER COMMUNICATION

Use technology to make local government more accessible, efficient and connected, from livestreaming council meetings to finding better ways to understand what residents need.

02 — BUSINESS, AMENITIES & INVESTMENT

Attract businesses, services and investment that strengthen our local economy, expand amenities and give residents more reasons to shop and spend locally.

04 — PLANNING FOR NIVERVILLE'S FUTURE

Make thoughtful decisions as Niverville grows, with an open mind and a long-term focus on creating a community our families and children can continue to call home.

About Peter

Niverville is home

I’ve called Niverville home for the past eight years, where my wife Catherine and I are raising our family. The more our community has grown, the more I’ve wanted to be involved in helping shape what comes next.

Professionally, I’ve spent more than a decade working in infrastructure and project management, leading complex projects involving budgets, contractors, municipalities, utilities and tight timelines. Most recently, that included developing the business case and leading the project that brought fibre infrastructure to Niverville’s Main Street businesses.

Outside of work, I’ve been involved with the Niverville Fair and other community initiatives. I enjoy getting involved, meeting people and finding practical ways to turn ideas into something that actually gets done.

I’m not running because I think Council is doing a poor job. I’m running because I believe my experience, problem-solving approach and willingness to look at things differently can add something valuable to the table.
